QUALITY AUDITOR - EL SEGUNDO, CA

Skyryse is seeking an aerospace Quality Auditor to support the development of various supplier locations. Auditors will audit suppliers to industry standard QMS (AS9100) and special specifications. This auditor will schedule and complete the quality checks in accordance with defined work & and drive corrective action for all findings.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, update, and continuously build upon compliant quality procedures.
  • Oversee surveillance activities and onsite audits (as applicable to 3rd Party accreditation, customer, and government requirements).
  • Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and generate FAI reports.
  • Interface with suppliers and internal build processes, build and maintain a positive and stable working relationship, and manage related MRB activities.
  • Communicate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and other departments to resolve issues.
  • Record accurate descriptions of nonconforming conditions identified during inspection.
  • Report audit results, Corrective Action Request (CAR) trends and improvement opportunities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced Degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or STEM related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in Quality Systems Administration; experienced in Quality system auditing and customer audits.
  • Familiarity with AS9100, NADCAP, and ISO 9001.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have strong computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 8+ years of experience in Quality Systems Administration; experienced in Quality system auditing and customer audits.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate best practices for quality solutions.
  • Certifications from the American Society for Quality (ASQ) or other governing body in quality management and aerospace industry standards, such as AS9100 Lead Auditor, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.

The base salary range is $90,000 - $120,000 USD a year. Your base salary will be determined on experience and the pay of employees in similar positions.
