Skylo is hiring a System Test Engineer, onsite, for our office in Palo Alto, CA. Our Quality & Standards runs all our device testing, validation, and onboarding ecosystem for both external and internal customers. Salary range: The typical salary range for this position is $125,000 to $155,000 per year and is commensurate with experience relative to the position - this job is onsite in Palo Alto, CA.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain Skylo's lab and field test environments.
  • Provide software versioning, configuration, remote access, and documentation for test equipment.
  • Design and execute system performance characterization test routines.
  • Interface with third-party device compliance test labs to incorporate Skylo system requirements.
  • Design device onboarding requirements.
  • Support customer accounts with device onboarding.
  • Conduct field demonstrations and proof of concept trials with customers and end users.
  • Work closely with embedded firmware and wireless systems teams to deploy 5G wireless technologies.
  • Provide engineering assistance to 3GPP device designers as they integrate NTN technologies in existing and new product lines.

Requirements:

  • BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or relevant engineering degree preferred
  • Programming capabilities with experience in C/C++/Java and Python preferred.
  • Comfortable working with hardware, familiar with hardware challenges in embedded software development, and comfortable debugging hardware/software issues.
  • Minute attention to detail in organizing and maintaining a highly professional field and lab test environment.
  • Highly collaborative, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Plus:

  • 1 or more years of experience in Radio Frequency systems
