About the role:

Skydio is seeking a talented multi-disciplinary project manager to ensure successful outcomes for sustaining projects within the Operations organization. In this role, your contributions will drive production efficiency and optimization, facility improvements and expansions, increased productivity, leading cross functional meetings, and improving overall employee experience. 

How you'll make an impact:

  • Work with cross-functional product, operations, supply chain, logistics, and manufacturing engineering groups to define and lead sustaining projects
  • Manage the execution of in-house NPI builds from the factory side, ensuring parts, people and all other required resources are in the right place at the right time
  • Define objectives and metrics for projects with clear exit criteria for each phase to meet schedule, cost, quality, and capacity targets
  • Track progress, communicate, hold team accountable, and escalate issues as appropriate throughout the project cycle
  • Collaborate with cross functional managers and individual contributors to run program review meetings, providing succinct status updates, soliciting critical input, and communicating risks
  • Specific projects include:
    • Support infrastructure and production facility improvements for new lines and expansion
    • Develop manufacturing processes that will be scalable and efficient
    • Manage space utilization and optimization for Hayward Facility 
    • Support continuous improvement opportunities around cost and productivity
      • Packaging optimization project
      •  Cost project management for OT, consumable, etc. 

What makes you a strong fit:

  • Multi disciplinary PM background, preferably within manufacturing or consumer electronics
  • Functional understanding of manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and engineering roles 
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Analytical approach to drive recommendations based on data
  • Ability to identify or develop tools for coordinating and tracking project progress
  • Willingness to work outside the scope of your role to cover gaps in ownership
  • Ability to remain flexible, calm, and creative in the face of uncertainty
  • Detail oriented

Compensation Range: The annual base salary range for this position is $140,000-185,000*. Compensation will vary based on factors, including skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience. In addition to base salary, Skydio full-time employees are eligible to enroll in our benefit plans and take advantage of a variety of incentives and stipends.
