The Role

As an Operations Analyst, you will be a part of the Sixth Street Global Operations team that is responsible for investment execution support, trade settlement, counterparty management, and pipeline and other cash management functions.

The Global Operations team supports Sixth Street’s global investing and treasury activities for our private credit/equity, asset-based financing, structured credit, hybrid, and liquid credit funds, business development companies, and separately managed accounts. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to be an integral part of a growing team in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial work environment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Work on a team that focuses on new investment execution support and settlement for our private investing platforms, including Real Estate, Energy, and Agriculture, among others
  • Deliver on-going investment support throughout the lifecycle of a deal, including:
    • Bank account management, including opening, closing and facilitating signature card updates and online banking access
    • Facilitating cashflows between Sixth Street funds and portfolio companies
    • Trade entry review and checkout
    • Exits and restructurings
    • Coordination with counterparties and external partners
  • Partner with investment professionals, asset managers, and external partners to drive banking-related activities for new investments and facilitate timely and accurate cash flow operations of existing investments
  • Service as a primary point-of-contact for Sixth Street’s external investing and operating partners and asset managers
  • Oversee, implement and monitor operational controls and protocols
  • Ensure investment cash and settlement controls and protocols are adhered to
  • Participate in a wide variety of special projects, both operational and financial
  • Assist with the timely and accurate setup of new investments to the order management, accounting, and reporting systems

Preferred

  • Candidates should possess a minimum of 2-4 years of experience
  • Experience should include treasury operations or middle and/or back-office operations at an investment bank, corporate bank, or buy-side organization that invests in a broad number of different asset classes
  • General knowledge of loans and/or securities trade support, including derivatives
  • Self-starter who requires little direction
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain composure in a high-volume environment
  • Strong sense of urgency; ability to execute quickly and efficiently with strong attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Structured problem solver who can synthesize sophisticated information from a variety of sources into implementable recommendations and solutions
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams.
  • Strong prioritization and project management skills.
  • Comfort working in a high growth, iterative environment
