The Role
As a workplace technology engineer, you will help build, deploy, and support Sixth Street’s endpoint management platform. Leveraging your system administration skills, you will have the opportunity to support existing and future systems in order to enable seamless integration into Sixth Street’s environment globally. You will configure and maintain our end user device management platform to standardize and secure Windows, iOS, and macOS devices at scale.
There will be a focus on Microsoft 365 cloud infrastructure, configuration management and security to leverage corporate identity, network connectivity, and device types, helping to improve employee productivity. You will utilize your expert-level experience and knowledge of Microsoft 365/Entra ID architecture, administration, and best practice recommendations combined with a strong current and deep experience in security, legal and regulatory/compliance controls required for cloud environments.
This is a full-time role based in our Dallas, Austin or Houston office.
Core Responsibilities
- Subject Matter Expert and Administrator for:
- Microsoft 365 configuration and policies
- Microsoft Exchange Online
- Microsoft Defender for Office 365
- Microsoft Entra ID
- Apple Devices (iOS/macOS/tvOS)
- Microsoft Purview - Compliance & data retention leveraging Microsoft 365 Data Loss Protection (DLP), eDiscovery, Audit, and Content Search
- Microsoft Intune supporting various device platforms (Windows/iOS/Mac/Windows365) through corporate enrollment (Autopilot/Apple Business Manager)
- Test and create RBAC in Microsoft 365, on-premise Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and Okta
- Application packaging and patch management within all platforms (Windows/iOS/macOS)
- SaaS application administration (Box/Zoom/Slack)
- SaaS/Hardware Inventory, Asset Management and Lifecycle Management
- Development and implementation of support strategies including leveraging ticketing systems, building documentation, and creating runbooks for Sixth Street’s Service Desk team
- Effectively translate technical specifications, errors, and business logic through written and verbal communications to both technical and non-technical customers
- Manage problem resolution to a satisfactory completion by keeping track of ongoing issues and following the proper escalation processes via our ticketing system
Qualifications
- 5+ years as an M365 Engineer and 10+ years professional technology experience
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft 365 Platform, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Intune, Security & Compliance Center, Microsoft 365 and OneDrive
- Expert knowledge of AD, Entra ID, Enterprise Mobility Suite and the Microsoft Identity Platform
- Experience Microsoft Intune leveraging Autopilot or MDM management
- Experience Apple MDM platform Jamf or Kandji
- Expert knowledge of PowerShell for managing on-premises and O365 environment
- Experience with PowerShell, LDAP, Active Directory, Entra ID, API’s
- Experience with authentication protocols SAML/OIDC
- Experience with collaborative tools (Onedrive/Zoom/Teams/Slack/Box)
- Familiar with Network Terminology (LAN/WAN/IP/DNS/DHCP)
- Familiar with application monitoring tools, reviewing log files, and be available on occasion for off hours emergency support for critical applications
- In-depth knowledge of Office365 licensing and features
- PowerShell scripting expertise within Microsoft 365 / Entra ID
- Possesses broad knowledge base of Microsoft 365 technical architecture and the inter dependencies with other enterprise services in O365/Azure technology stack
- Service Health monitoring using Microsoft 365 console and actively respond based on system alerts and notification
Preferred Qualifications
- 15+ years overall IT experience
- Azure Administration
- AV Administration with Zoom Rooms
- Okta Administration (SSO, SCIM, group management, etc) and integrations
- SaaS application administration;
- Adobe Creative Suite
- Atlassian (Jira, Confluence)
- Progressive experience in developing technical solutions using O365 Suite of products
