Position Overview

SingleStore is looking for an experienced VP of Operations to lead both strategic and tactical aspects of data operations including, sales operations, marketing operations, and overall instrumentation for the business. Reporting to the CFO, this is a high-impact, high-responsibility role that requires a strategic, metrics-driven operations expert who will have a major influence on the company’s growth and success. The VP of Operations role will be an exciting opportunity to build the foundation for the company’s metrics and analytics. This role will be responsible for developing a holistic and cohesive data strategy, overseeing the operations of the entire organization with an emphasis on the go-to market functions. You will bring Sales and Revenue Operations best practices to a rapidly growing sales organization with the flexibility to build the ideal organization structure to support the evolving needs of a high growth company and deliver scale through improved productivity.  Working with key stakeholders to provide operational efficiency throughout the commercial organization. You will manage the teams responsible for implementing the tools and systems necessary to scale SingleStore operationally and in a data driven manner ensuring we are leveraging data to make informed decisions.  This role will serve as a support partner to the CFO, CRO, and CMO in key strategic design and process decisions. Additional responsibilities will include leading and supporting a wide variety of strategic initiatives and ongoing projects.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive business instrumentation strategies to effectively measure and analyze key operational metrics
  • Lead initiative to enhance the organization ability to gather, interpret, and act upon relevant data for informed decision making
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish benchmarks and performance targets that drive continuous improvement
  • Drive efforts to optimize and refine existing Key Performance Indicators, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives
  • Implement best practices and technology solutions to streamline operations and enhance overall organizational effectiveness
  • Responsible for all aspects of GTM reporting, process optimization, and territory planning
  • Monitor effectiveness of GTM efforts and ensure alignment with overall business objectives through analytics and performance reporting
  • Partner closely with Marketing to analyze the health of our GTM business, driving operational improvements as the company grows, scales, and evolves
  • Develop and implement strategies to streamline and optimize the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation to deal close.
  • Implement forecasting methodologies and tools to improve accuracy and visibility
  • Collaborate with leadership to design and develop competitive and effective sales compensation plans aligned to business objectives

Required Skills and Experience

  • 10+ years experience in Revenue Operations, Marketing Operations, Business Operations, or Data Analytics
  • Ability to translate data into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience managing sales reporting and sales metrics
  • Demonstrated ability to define, refine, and implement processes, procedures, and policies
  • Proven proficiency in identifying, diagnosing, and resolving problems of all levels of complexity, prioritizing critical client issues, and identifying department needs
  • Extensive first-hand experience with progressive sales automation systems and demonstrated ability to improve sales productivity
  • Strong interpersonal and team building skills; ability to work with a diverse team and influence/ drive change across functional and business boundaries, global experience a strong plus
  • Strong knowledge of sales systems and tools (Salesforce, Excel, CaptiveIQ, Google Sheets, Sales Enablement and BI Tools)
  • Extensive experience with subscription and consumption business models
  • Management experience including people, project, and systems management
  • Player Coach mentality to help lead, develop, and manage sales and revenue operations
  • BA/BS degree in a Business-oriented, Finance, Mathematics, or related field

SingleStore’s base salary range for this role, if based in California, Colorado, Washington, or New York City is: $200,000 - $250,000 USD per year
