In this role you will oversee the programmatic aspects of Product Engineering. You will work with stakeholders from across the organization to build the proper cadence for business processes, drive our priorities to consensus, and enable predictable delivery within Product Engineering. In addition to these core areas of focus, you will be called upon to dive deep into specific project areas to help formulate strategy, plan, and organize work efforts, and oversee project execution. You will lead by example with a passion for operational rigor, engineering discipline, and execution at scale. 

  1. Drive the development and adoption of engineering processes, mechanisms, and tools that add efficiency, transparency, and scale to our operations.
  2. Work with Product Engineering Tech Leads to effectively communicate the status of all programs.
  3. Build and maintain our team staffing strategy
    1. Track staffing on active projects
    2. Build out schedules for planned staffing on future projects
    3. Run quarterly staffing planning process
  4. Roadmap and project pipeline planning
    1. Maintain realistic roadmap model with staffing and schedules
    2. Communicate forward-looking projections on the roadmap.
  5. Design operational processes to bring rigor, repeatability, and transparency to product development activities.
  6. Act as a project lead for key strategic initiatives ensuring proper planning and execution 
  7. Develop, track, and act on KPIs that speak to operational and organization efficiency

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of experience working with hardware and firmware engineering teams
  • 5+ years of experience in technical leadership roles (e.g. technical program management, systems architecture, product engineering, etc.)
  • 10+ years of experience with hardware development lifecycle from conception to delivery
  • 10+ years of technical project management experience and demonstrated knowledge of program management best practices
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related fields or relevant work experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated success in a technical leadership role
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and a highly collaborative attitude
  • Experience with IoT and security hardware
