Retail Sales Manager

Your Role

SimpliSafe is growing its retail team and looking to hire a Retail Sales Manager. In this role, you’ll be responsible for identifying new retail opportunities, and delivering the sales plans that drive long term growth and profitability. You’ll establish, build and cultivate relationships at all levels, excelling at customer service, all while expanding SimpliSafe home security products at retail.  

What You'll Do

  • Identify new channels of opportunity, develop accounts, increase sales and profitability.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with assigned national accounts.
  • Fully own the budget, forecasting, profitability and growth initiatives for assigned accounts.
  • Develop account specific retail kits based on customer and retailer needs, pricing strategy, and channel conflict.
  • Partner with retail marketing, marketing strategy, operations, and design team to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain an effective reporting process between SimpliSafe and retail accounts.
  • Effectively negotiate business partnerships to help establish mutually beneficial relationships for sustainable, long term growth.
  • Monitor and understand competitors within channel including placement, messaging, and promotional strategies.
  • Ensure monthly and annual goals are met including sell through, revenue, margin and activation as established by leadership.  
  • Develop strong relationships with the retail partners, SimpliSafe stakeholders, and external agencies.

Experience and Skills

  • Experience selling to US retailers.
  • 5 -8 years experience in sales for a consumer electronics or technology company.
  • A self-starter, able to identify opportunities and maximize their potential.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • A progressive, creative thinker with ability to adapt and scale.
