About the job
We’re looking for an exceptional Senior Golang Software Engineer to join our Cross-selling System Team. Being a part of the simplesurance team offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of one of the most successful insurtech-startups in Germany selling our services across Europe and Japan.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, enhance and focus on creating robust and efficient code, improving system performance, and integrating new features that are in line with cutting-edge industry standards.
- Take ownership of the backend that powers multiple user-facing apps, advancing our state-of-the-art gRPC-based microservice architecture. Understanding of the frontend stack is a plus.
- Actively participate in code reviews to ensure that our platform and codebase meet the highest quality standards
- Take a proactive role in all aspects of platform design and development, with a strong emphasis on scalability and availability.
- Offer guidance based on extensive experience with Go and related technologies to improve system design and the codebase.
Bring to the team
- Golang, GRPC, REST API and backend testing, experience with relational based databases
- Excellent Communication skills (has to motivate all the team members, should be able to communicate bottle necks etc.)
- Experience building Go applications with a focus on resilience and uptime.
- Strong familiarity with Agile methodologies, fostering collaboration, and adaptability.
- Fluency business English
