Country Head (f/d/m) – Japan (Tokyo)

Being the Country Head (f/d/m) – Japan at simplesurance you will be the main person driving the sales operations of our B2B business in the Japanese Market.

In this exciting position, you will enter a new market from scratch. Your work base will be in our new office in Tokyo, but you will have continuous interaction with and count with full support from our HQ in Berlin.

  • Transfer of knowledge and business models between Berlin HQ and Japan
  • Negotiate contracts with business partners and communicate with service providers
  • Be the main point of contact for partners regarding all requests and coordinate and advise the partners
  • Take care of building a strong relationship with clients and partners
  • Set-up a and manage business operations of the subsidiary in line with regulatory requirements
  • Development of business opportunities in Japan
  • Management of internal and external stakeholder (insurance companies, distribution partners, etc.) and account management
  • Represent the company business product, including networking and trade fairs
  • Maintain a reasonable product knowledge and services in order to develop solutions for partners and aligning with Berlin HQ
  • 7 - 10 years of professional experience
  • Demonstrated experience in Business Development and Sales
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in English and Japanese (as native language)
  • Experience in cross-country reporting and communication
  • Team oriented, self-starter and ability to work remotely and independently
  • Ability to work with fast changing priorities
  • License holder (or willing to take the license) for non-life insurance
