Similarweb is seeking an experienced Analyst to join its unique Data Strategy Group, tasked with pioneering a new, impactful role. 

At Similarweb, our Data Strategy Group is at the heart of shaping how we handle data—from the moment we acquire it to the innovative ways we integrate, model, utilize, and monetize it. This group is a blend of Data Product, Data Infrastructure, and Data Partnership Managers, all focused on pushing our data strategy forward.

We're on the hunt for a Product Analyst who's excited about diving into the world of data as a product. This isn’t about tracking user interactions or optimizing conversion rates on our platform. Instead, it’s about getting into the nuts and bolts of our data flow and architecture, understanding how our data travels, transforms, and ultimately drives business impact.

In this role, you'll be key to making insightful, data-driven decisions about the data we collect, use, and sell. You’ll lead projects of various sizes aimed at refining our data processes and boosting the value of our diverse and complex data product lines. It's a chance to really get into the mechanics of our data, ensuring it's leveraged to its full potential at every stage—from collection to delivery to our customers.

Key qualifications include:

  • Expertise in data modeling and analysis, particularly as it applies to data products.
  • Strong background in managing projects from a data perspective, ensuring insights lead to actionable product enhancements.
  • Proficiency in data visualization techniques to communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Advanced skills in Python and SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Experience with BI tools and platforms for comprehensive analysis and reporting of product metrics.

Requirements:

  • Obsession over the flow and transformation of big data, with a proven track record of answering technical and business questions around it.  
  • 4+ years of experience as an analyst, out of which A MUST is 2+ years as a hyper technical Analyst in a large big data company, or in a company dealing with massive amounts of data.
  • SQL and Python expertise is a MUST.
  • Meaningful experience in BI Visualization Platforms (Looker/Power BI, etc.)  
  • A bachelor's degree emphasizing statistical and analytical skills. M.Sc, MA, MBA is an advantage.

  • Experience querying large, complex datasets - to extract value, and optimize structure and potential. 
  • Robust skills in data manipulation, statistical analysis, and data visualizations.
  • Exceptional analytical and technical proficiency, demonstrating ownership across the entire data flow, from problem definition and data collection to modeling, analysis, and reporting.
