We’re looking for a Team Lead to help us deliver value to tens of millions of users This role will report to the B2C director of engineering. 


Why is this role so important at Similarweb?

In the B2C groups, we have several product teams, with diverse iOS,Android and Web developers. Each team is responsible for a unique product with tens of millions of users. 


So, what will you be doing all day?

Your role as part of the Team Lead team means your daily responsibilities may include:

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers ( Full Stack, native iOS, native Android, QA ).
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, and other Team Leaders to plan, nurture, and implement an efficient and effective development process.
  • Lead  designs & decision making processes of the team.
  • Design, code and manage large scale, highly available services using cutting edge technologies (NodeJs, React, Objective-C/Swift, Java/Kotlin, JavaScript, Redis, Docker, etc. over AWS, CI/CD).
  • Tackle tough problems and find creative ways to solve them.
  • Determine feasibility by performing risk management and evaluating tradeoffs.
  • Build new features and directly impact the future of our product end to end (frontend, backend, tests, monitoring, etc.) and cross platforms (services, web, mobile, extensions)
  • Write high-quality, functional code – backend and frontend.
  • Improve your skills, learn from and mentor top-notch engineers and enrich other team members.
  • Have lots of fun!


This is the perfect job for someone who:

  1. B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science or a related field
  2. 2+ years of experience leading engineering teams
  3. 5+ years of previous engineering hands-on experience with web technologies and mobile development.
  4. Experience with at least one large UI framework (react, angular, vue) and one large backend framework/system
  5. Experience with databases 
  6. Experience in architecture and design of large-scale scalable and high performance web production systems
  7. Comfortable taking challenges and learning new technologies
  8. Passion for clear code, product usability and robust architectures.
  9. Ability to manage people both from technical and personal standpoints.
  10. Excellent communication skills, ability to organize cooperation between various technical teams.
  11. Ability to prioritize and estimate team tasks effectively
  12. Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide constant dialog between the teams
  13. Ability to mentor and build the team
  14. Love to be a hands-on leader  -  a must!
