Job Description:

We’re looking for a Director of Sales who can create business opportunities in clients. In classic sales parlance, you would be called a hunter or NN (net new) sales person.

Here’s what your role will look like: 

  • Lead the new sales efforts to break open The big whales of CPG
  • Create recurring revenue services and accelerators business from CPG clients
    • Your role would be to establish strategic relationships and engagement models which lay the platform for the downstream big $
  • High caliber leadership
    • Establishing the sales process & rigor for the org
    • Decision making acumen – Which clients to chase, when to drop a deal, when to press the pedal
    • The buck stops at you
    • Create trusted partnerships with clients
  • Navigating complex client organizations
    • Cracking the maze: How not to get stuck at the wrong client
    • Get to the c-level: While not all deals need C-level visibility, it brings a differentiated positioning
  • Creative, Empathetic & Provocative
    • To break the competition clutter and spur clients into action, we expect you to be straddle the empathy-provocative border line. Intellect doesn’t win always. Neither does relationship win always. And, then you need foresight to be at the right time at the right place. Create opportunities in situations where it seemingly doesn’t look possible.
  • Executive presence
    • You need to have the executive gravitas to hold relevant conversations with CPG executives at the C-level
    • CPG-speak to navigate the client landscape, unearth problem spaces and penetrate
  •  Hygiene
    • Drive pipeline rigor on a weekly basis
    • Do what it takes to generate the pipeline

 

Other points to note:

  • A track record of innovation, and a combination of big picture thinking & granular problem solving is a must for the role
  • 15+ years of consultative services selling experience is must for the role
  • The role doesn’t require an in-depth understanding or experience in the AI/ML space. We'll work with you on that and help you ride the AI wave
  • Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills (ideally in sensitive environments)
  • Autonomous, positive thinker, highly flexible and willing to work independently as well as part of a team
  • 30 – 50% travel is required
