As it turns out
We are looking for a Sound Designer to join our award winning, global team in crafting high quality audio experiences for the PlayStation Studios family of development partners. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to continue to set the bar alongside some of the most quality-driven developers in the industry on some of the most exciting AAA games for PlayStation.
Responsibilities
Design: Working with our development partners and supervising sound designers, you will help define the sound vision and execution for your area of responsibility.
Supports the overall game project and strategy for sound design
Can understand and interpret the sound design and execution plan for a sound design pillar within the project
Direction: You can take direction well, and work within specific guidelines creatively and technically to achieve success within your area of responsibility.
Works with senior staff to grow in their sound design skillset, can collaborate effectively with their teammates
Understands and supports the sound design vision for a title
Implementation: You will be able to succeed within different sound design domains and seek to understand new and emerging technologies to our projects.
Supports the technical sound design vision for the project
Adapts to new sound design implementation solutions quickly
Tool and Technical Proficiency: You will learn and adapt in an ever-changing environment when it comes to game and sound technologies and educate and share your knowledge with the team.
Actively pursues growth and best practices with regards to tools usage and philosophy
Partners with technical/engineering groups to help drive needs for innovative sound production
Communication: You will help maintain meaningful relationships across our internal and external groups, based on trust and delivering consistent, high-quality results.
Helps drive communication between the sound design team and development partners
Demonstrates passion for knowledge sharing and promoting new discoveries
Innovation: You will look for ways to expand boundaries to deliver breakthrough solutions, creatively and technically.
Drives consistent communication with development partners about ways to elevate sound design
Works to integrate new ideas for content or systems into their project work & workflows

必要なスキルや資格
ビデオゲームのサウンドデザイナーとして2年以上の経験があること
インタラクティブオーディオとポストプロダクション技術に関する最新の理解があること
サウンドデザイン、ミキシング技術、プロセス、ツールに精通していること
オーディオ制作ツール、フォーリーパフォーマンス、キャプチャー、小道具、録音技術などを想像力豊かに活用し、高品質なオリジナルコンテンツを作成できること
商用ミドルウェア（WWISE、FMODなど）でのオーサリング技術に精通していること
プレッシャーやタイトな納期の中で働くことができること
あると望ましいスキルや資格
LUA、Pythonなどのスクリプト言語に触れたことがあること
ゲーム開発チームと連携し、アニメーション、レベルデザイン、AI、物理、メカニクスなど様々なゲーム部門と調整した経験
Unreal Blueprintなどのオブジェクトベースのロジックシステムに精通していること
英語によるビジネス経験

Qualifications
2+ Years experience as Sound Designer for video games
Current understanding of interactive audio and post production techniques
Proficient command of sound design & mixing techniques, processes and tools
Imaginative use of audio production tools, Foley performance and capture, props, and recording techniques to create high quality original content
Familiar with authoring techniques within commercial middleware (WWISE, FMOD, etc…)
Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
Desired Qualifications
Any exposure to scripting languages such as LUA, Python, etc.
Experience working with game development teams and coordinating with various game departments such as animation, level design, AI, physics, mechanics, etc.
Familiarity with object based logic systems, such as Unreal Blueprint
