日本とアジアで最高の独立系ゲーム開発会社と協力して、時間と予算内で可能な限り最高の品質と成功を収めるべく、外部製品（ビデオゲーム）を探し、評価し、制作し、発売します。それらの製品の開発及び承認プロセスを、最初のコンセプトの決定または取得から最終的な商用マスタリングまで管理します。ラインを管理し、制作方法と内部プロセスについてチームを指導及び教育します。包括的で協調的なチーム文化と成長マインドセットを発展させながら、外部の開発パートナーの信頼と満足を確保します。
・新しいプロジェクトと既存のフランチャイズの全ての側面をマーケティングに効果的に提示する必要があります。
・グローバルマーケティングチームとの優れた関係を構築及び維持し、SIE内でAAAタイトル及びフランチャイズを構築及び提供するために何が必要かを理解する必要があります。
・ゲームの開発パスとスケジュールを定義します。
・必要に応じて、ツールと制作方法について、エグゼクティブプロデューサー、XDEVのシニアディレクター、及びXDEVリーダーシップチームの他のメンバーと合意します。
・マイルストーンレビューを実施し、必要に応じてエグゼクティブプロデューサー、XDEVのシニアディレクター、及びXDEVリーダーシップチームの他のメンバーとマイルストーンの承認に合意します。
・エグゼクティブプロデューサー、XDEVのシニアディレクター（及び必要に応じてXDEVリーダーシップチームの他のメンバー）に、スケジュール、納期、マイルストーン、予算及びリソースの要件についてアドバイスします。割り当てられている場所では、SCEプロジェクトマネージャー、アソシエイトプロデューサー、またはプロデューサーがタイトルを正しく監視及びアドバイスしていることを確認します。
・チーム内に共通の焦点と方向性が存在し、外部の開発スタジオ内で伝達されるようにする責任を負います。これによりＳＩＥ内のタイトルの品質と全体的な影響の可能性を促進します。
・プログラミング、アート、音楽、ゲームプレイ、及び開発スタジオと開発パートナー（内部及び外部の両方）間の競合/問題を特定/解決して、ゲームが技術、スケジュール、コスト、及び品質のパラメーター内に収まるようにします。
・関連する全ての方的要件と義務がサードパーティ開発者とサプライヤーに確実に適用されるようにします。
・プロダクトマネージャーと協力して、ゲームが期待を上回り、潜在的な露出と市場への浸透を最大限に実現できるようにします。
・ゲームの開発に使用される制作方法を指示/開始します。
・割り当てられた全スタッフのライン管理。
・必要に応じて、設計ドキュメントをエグゼクティブプロデューサー、XDEVのシニアディレクター、XDEVリーダーシップチームの他のメンバーと合意し、時間、品質、及びコストのパラメーター内で提供します。
・タイトルが最新のQAガイドラインに適合し、QAが関連する全てのプロジェクト関連の問題を理解していること、そしてQAプロセスが可能な限り効果的かつ効率的に実行されていることを確認します。
・主要なプロジェクトのマイルストーンが開発関連のレポートで可能な限り正確に報告され、マイルストーンの移動や予算の変更がエグゼクティブプロデューサーにできるだけ早く報告されるようにします。
・プロダクションレポートの監督と協力を請け負います。
・必要に応じて、XDEVのシニアディレクターと完全に協力して、サードパーティとの契約及び予算の交渉を行います。
・必要に応じて、タイトル取得のスポンサーとして機能します。
・スタッフの評価と統制を行います。
・採用活動に貢献します。

＜Purpose of this Role ＞
Collaborate with the best independent game developers in Japan and in Asia to seek out, evaluate, produce and release external products (video games) to the highest possible quality and success, on time and on budget. Manage the development and approval process of those products from initial concept decision or acquisition through to final commercial mastering. Manage lines, coach and educate the team on production methodologies and internal processes. Ensure external development partners trust and satisfaction, while developing an inclusive and collaborative team culture and a growth mindset.

＜Duties and Responsibilities ＞
・Must effectively present all aspects of new projects and of existing franchises to marketing
・Must develop and maintain excellent relationships with the global marketing team, and understand what is required to build and deliver AAA titles and franchises within SIE.
・Defines the development path & schedule for the game.
・Agrees tools and production methodologies with the Executive Producer, Senior Director of XDEV, and other members of the XDEV leadership team, as required.
・Conducts milestone reviews and agrees milestone sign off with Executive Producer, with Senior Director of XDEV, and with other members of the XDEV leadership team, as required.
・Advises Executive Producer, Senior Director of XDEV (and other members of the XDEV leadership team, as required) of the schedule, delivery dates, milestones, budgetary and resource requirements. Where one is allocated ensure SCE Project Manager, Associate Producer or Producer is correctly monitoring and advising on the title.
・Takes responsibility for ensuring that a common focus and direction exist within the team and are communicated within the external development studio. This must drive the quality and the overall impact potential of the title within SIE.
・Identifies/resolves conflicts/issues between programming, art, music, gameplay, as well as between development studio and development partners (both internal and external) to ensure that the game remains within technical, schedule, cost and quality parameters.
・Ensures that all relevant legal requirements and obligations are in place with third party developers and suppliers.
・Collaborates with Product Manager to ensure game exceeds expectations and achieves maximum potential exposure and penetration into the marketplace.
・Directs/initiates production methodologies to be used in delivering the game.
・Lines management of all staff allocated.
・Agrees Design Document with Executive Producer, with Senior Director of XDEV, and with other members of the XDEV leadership team, as required, and delivers titles within time, quality and cost parameters.
・Ensures title meets with up to date QA guidelines, that QA understand all relevant project related issues, and that QA process is executed as effectively and as efficiently as possible.
・Ensures that major project milestones are reported as correctly as possible on development related reports and that any milestone movements or budget changes are reported to the Executive Producer as soon as possible.
・Ensures supervision and collaboration of Production Reports
・Where appropriate, and in full collaboration with the Senior Director of XDEV, handle contractual and budgeting negotiations with 3rd parties.
・Where appropriate, acts as sponsor for acquisition of titles.
・Ensures staff appraisals and discipline.
・Contributes to the Hiring effort.
