SIDEARM Sports, a leader in the collegiate website development industry, is actively seeking an Web Accessibility Assistant to join our Accessibility team for the summer. As part of our Accessibility department, a successful candidate will work with our development and content teams to assist in testing and evaluating the level of accessibility of our websites throughout the user journey. Accessibility has become an important focus throughout our business model. We are dedicated to creating an accessible digital experience for all users. A person in this position will help assist with ensuring that our websites are accessible to all individuals by reviewing client websites, participating in communication with key stakeholders and identifying post launch site concerns through our QA process. This is a paid temporary position from May through mid to late August, requiring a maximum of 28 hrs per week*.
*Workload may change week to week in our efforts to accommodate client needs. Because of this, actual weekly hours can vary.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Assist with conducting accessibility audits on client websites
- Perform user testing with assistive technology, i.e. screen readers, keyboard and mouse
- Input issues into a format designated by developers
- Draft feedback to clients based on review findings and developer updates
- Participate in accessibility-related meetings and discussions within the organization
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Extremely comfortable with basic excel and HTML knowledge
- Experience with basic understanding of accessibility standards and importance

Pay Transparency
The approximate base pay range for this position is $16.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Individuals may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and/or sales compensation. Actual compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience as well as geographic location.
