About the role

We are looking for a talented Sr Manager, Product Design to join our LTK team. You will be a member of a cross-functional design, product, and engineering team on our Brand Platform, as well as the larger Product Design & Creative team. Our Brand Platform team supports both B2B and B2C products, with a focus on speed-to-market and iterative design. This means building and improving upon our Brand SaaS platform, Creator collaboration platform, and internal tooling.

The ideal candidate for this role will be a design and people leader capable of driving design decisions across the Product, Design, and Engineering organizations that support our users, business, and underlying technology. You’re passionate about guiding your team to reach their full potential and motivating them to achieve design excellence within your domain. Achieving this goal requires close collaboration with business leaders and stakeholders throughout the organization from conception to smooth roll-outs. Most of all, you’ll be part of a tight-knit team that enjoys solving big problems together.

How you will make an impact

  • Oversee the development, execution, and improvement of user experience and product design strategy across the end-to-end customer journey for three different user groups.
  • Help drive our operational design strategy, owning and evolving a holistic design process to lead improvements in design standards, processes, tools, and team culture.
  • Contribute product design thought-leadership to a highly collaborative team of product design, product management, and engineering folks with a focus on converting strong conceptual thinking and product strategy into impactful and intuitive experiences.
  • Have a strong understanding of design’s business impact and work closely with Product and Engineering partners to properly prioritize work while advocating for right-sized design solutions.
  • Help your team work through design problems from beginning to end, translating research insights into ideas that form disruptive new products and features, sketching and prototyping these ideas to quickly assess market viability, and designing detailed interaction behaviors that bring delight to users.
  • Frequently review quantitative product data and use this to help the team make smart business decisions. 
  • Serve as the voice of the customer and act as a customer experience advocate when considering design decisions that will affect both our users and our business.
  • Plan and run usability tests and user interview studies when qualitative research is needed to understand customer behavior or dive deeper into pain points. 
  • Plan and facilitate workshops with cross-functional partners to quickly ideate and collaborate on problems.
  • Become a marketplace and advertising platform subject matter expert. 
  • Work in close partnership with Creative and Marketing teams to ensure strong visual design and consistent brand expression across all user touchpoints.
  • Recruit and develop extraordinary talent by coaching, managing, and mentoring a team of designers across several squads in a fast-paced, ever-changing startup environment.

What you will bring to LTK

  • 6+ years of experience managing teams and designing digital products, ideally for a SaaS platform (while being able to present a rich portfolio of past projects to demonstrate your passion and knowledge about designing for B2B and responsive applications)
  • Degree in Visual Design, Interaction Design, Industrial Design, Motion, Architecture, Urban Planning, Graphic Design, HCI, or related field of study (or work experience in lieu of degree)
  • Amazing portfolio of design work outlining both process and final design solutions
  • Comfort leading teams using contemporary design tools such as Figma
  • Experience with user research such as surveys, interviews, and usability testing
  • Understanding of business metrics and the ability to translate company objectives into intuitive digital experiences
  • Understanding of design systems and patterns, while also staying aware of technological feasibility
  • Embraces the design thinking process to solve problems 
  • A solid design foundation and ability to coach excellence in delivering designs/documents that are simple, informative, and filled with craftsmanship and strong attention to detail 
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities, estimate work, and effectively deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced, dynamic agile environment
  • Proactive, collaborative, and respectful when challenging opinions and strategy, ability to disagree and commit
  • Build empathetic relationships with and amongst your team, cultivating a positive working culture where feedback is shared and given with equal grace
  • Experience working on marketplaces or ad platforms is a plus
  • Ability to roll up your sleeves and design / prototype elegant, scalable solutions when needed is a plus
