- Conduct descriptive and diagnostics analytics, work together with counterparts, including product management team, business development team, marketing team and others, to monitor their business and product performance based on data and achieve their targets. Able to answer questions such as “What is it” and “Why is it” using data.
- Work with big data at Shopee using the Hadoop ecosystem (pyspark, presto, clickhouse, etc), gather business requirements, design and provide big data solutions in an efficient manner.
- Drive and implement data solutions to fulfil business requirements.
- Co-own product roadmap along with product lead and business stakeholders to ensure product direction is aligned with both short term and long term business goals.
- Participate in the regular catchup with stakeholders to understand the changes on the business side. Proactively monitor the trends in the reports and create alert to your stakeholders when abnormalities appear. Work together with them to explore reason behind and take actions to drive performances accordingly.
- 1-3 year of relevant work experience in business intelligence, business data analysis, or comparable experience in other data-driven environment
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, IS, Engineering, Business Analytics, or related field
- Familiar with python and SQL
- Candidates with experience in Pyspark, Hadoop ecosystem are preferable
- Highly analytical, data-driven and detail oriented
- Resourceful problem solver, able to problem solve using data
- Exceptional soft skills to share ideas with personnel from various seniority levels flawlessly
- Ability to work in a fast paced, results-oriented environment
