Roles and responsiblities
- Write longform articles for Shopee Malaysia blog as assigned by SEO Content Specialist
- Do keyword research on Google Keyword Planner and other SEO tools to ideate for blog articles
- Find images and proofread articles before submission to editor
- Upload article to CMS (Wordpress) and optimise article for SEO before publishing
- Write footer text for Shopee Malaysia site as needed
- Other ad hoc tasks, such as occasionally interviewing others for articles and helping other departments with special project writing, may be part of job role
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, high English proficiency (written & verbal) is a must
- 2-3 years experience in content writing for publications is a plus, but not necessary (portfolio required)
- Basic understanding of SEO and knowledge of of SEO tool usage are a plus
- Previous experience writing tech content (gadgets, smartphones, gaming etc) is a must**
- Sharp attention to detail & strong time management skills
- Ability to work independently, but also be a team player when discussing ideas and collaborating with others
