Job Description
Finance is an integral part of Shopee’s business and is a critical function as we enter the next phase of growth. This is a regional role which requires working closely with all 8 countries. You will work alongside other business functions, supporting and advising their strategic and operational decision-making through insights that drive better business performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead various process improvement initiatives alongside Business Development, Business Intelligence, Product Management, Operations, Finance and Marketing across Local and Regional teams
- Be actively involved in driving improvements across in a wide range of finance topic areas including management reporting, financial reconciliation and cash collections
- Main point of contact providing financial expertise & advisory for stakeholders across the region
- Support business leaders with decision making from Finance perspective with solid data and analysis
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with a variety of different stakeholders, including functional leaders, process owners and management teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business/Accountancy – In depth understanding of Accounting principles
- 0-3 years prior experience working in a Finance function – Knowledge in Finance processes and systems
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills - Ability to draw insights from complex data and design practical and scalable solutions
- Solid written and verbal communication - Ability to liaise with people at all levels
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Word
