We are looking for a Research Associate to join our team of high-calibre and dynamic  professionals who are pushing for positive transformation at Shopee. You will collect data from various sources, conduct research, and build insightful reports to help the team sense the market environment and answer business objectives. Above all, your work will be crucial to decision-making which determines Shopee’s future direction.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct competitive and customer analysis through primary and secondary research methodologies 
  • Collect and process data from various sources and generate coherent insights
  • Conduct focus groups, call and email surveys 
  • Identify market trends, new business models in the competitor and vendor landscape
  • Prepare reports and presentations to synthesize findings and answer business objectives
  • Benchmark internal processes, perform mystery shopping and mock calls in order to find gaps in customer experience
  • Perform market sizing and estimate customer impact of various business proposals
  • Create a project plan, define the scope, tools and methodologies to be used, set up a project schedule, manage data collection and interviews and prepare data collection templates
  • Perform other ad-hoc research as required 

Requirements:  

  • Fluent in Thai and English
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a market research firm or similar corporate function
  • Bachelor or higher in BBA, Marketing or similar field with good scores
  • Strong in both quantitative and qualitative research
  • Experience moderating focus groups
  • Excellent understanding of consumer research methodologies
  • Good powerpoint and presentation skills - able to translate consumer behavior into actionable insights for management team
