As our Copywriter, you’ll support the ShipStation sales and marketing teams in UK and Austalia in researching, drafting, writing, and proofreading a wide range of sales and marketing assets – from blog posts, web content, print/digital marketing assets, to sales decks, emails and collateral. You’ll have a chance to build out engaging and eye-catching materials that span across various digital and offline channels every day.

Primary Objectives:

  • Drive brand consistency across all company communications.
  • Develop and implement brand guidelines.
  • Complete a high volume of production tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work with our International teams to develop geo-specific content.

Essential Position Duties (typical monthly, weekly, daily tasks which support the primary objectives):

  • Write clear, attractive copy with a distinct voice.
  • Conduct and manage user stories and case studies.
  • Write clear, engaging copy for sales assets
  • Edit and proofread copy as needed.
  • Use SEO principles to maximise copy’s reach.
  • Think creatively and develop new content, ads, and other marketing materials.
  • Complete a high volume of production tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Write copy for a variety of media including social, print, video, and online.
  • Edit and proof work to ensure high editorial standards are met across all content outputs.
  • Collaborate with creative, product, marketing, sales and legal to assess project needs and help with messaging.

Required Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Journalism, English, or a related field.
  • Two or more (2+) years of Copywriter experience.
  • Experience with SEO.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Proactive, self-motivated, well-organised, highly creative, and strong attention to detail
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication
  • Proven experience as a copywriter or related role
  • Knowledge of online content strategy and creation
  • Strong research skills
  • Excellent time-management and organisational skills
  • Great attitude
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Use SEO principles to maximise copy’s reach
  • Familiarity with writing for both B2B and B2C audiences
  • Not afraid to ask questions, but willing to think of solutions
  • Write clear, attractive copy with a distinct voice
  • Interpret copywriting briefs to understand project requirements
  • Collaborate with designers, PR, and other professionals on large- and small-scale marketing projects (e.g. email campaigns and landing pages)
  • Comfortable conducting high-quality research and interviews
  • Intermediate use of HubSpot
  • Experience with Wordpress
