Position Description

The Head of APAC will lead ShipIn’s growth through new client acquisitions across the Asia Pacific region by:

  • Identifying and engaging target clients across the region

  • Leverage their existing network of contacts for potential new customers

  • Manage the sale process from start to finish, conducting product demos and ensuring smooth delivery

  • Working closely with marketing function to create and run lead generation campaigns and follow up on SQLs

  • Represent ShipIn at industry events across the APAC region

  • Be an effective player coach by hiring and leading an effective sales team

  • Set and oversee team performance and KPIs

  • Collaborate closely with company CEO, senior management and product team

 

Qualifications / Experiences

  • 5+ years successful direct sales experience as an individual contributor (ideally within a maritime software organisation)

  • Sales Leadership experience with an early stage software company (desired not required)

  • 2+ years chartering experience fixing vessels and negotiating freight rates (desired not required)

  •  Extensive network of maritime professionals across the APAC region

  •  MBA, or other Masters qualification (desired not required)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (English)

  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative, entrepreneurial spirit, able to craft their own sales support materials

  • Understands the value of CRM systems; disciplined in their use and application
