Position Description

As a Technical Product Manager, you’ll be responsible for the end-to-end success of our products and to deliver ShipIn’s vision to our loyal customers. You will drive the development of existing products and support new features and products based on that vision and a deep understanding of the customer. 

You have experience in using agile best practices to develop engineering processes and organize engineering teams to deliver enterprise software. You are familiar with artifacts and deliverables of hybrid-deployment software products (on-premises/cloud/edge, hardware/software).

Blending technical savvy with business sense, you are an entrepreneur at heart and thrive in innovating and pushing boundaries to make products and features a reality. The TPM is skilled at communicating across various functions in the organization and collaborating with engineers and other stakeholders to solve problems, beyond clerical project management.

You’re not afraid to get your hands dirty to provide product, engineering, and program management in a fast-paced environment, under ambiguity and lack of structure.

Key Responsibilities

Develop cross-functional processes, coordination, and communication to deliver outstanding product outcomes.

Understand the technical aspects of our product’s systems and work closely with engineers, designers, testers, and other operational and sales teams to identify roadblocks, dependencies, and meaningful improvements.

Manage project schedules and clearly communicate them to project stakeholders. Clearly present status, research results, and recommendations to key stakeholders

Develop agile and lightweight processes for product operations. Maintain project artifacts at a high level of relevance, accuracy, and completeness.

Understand industry segments, uncover and validate customer pains and market problems by interacting with external and internal stakeholders, doing research, user testing, and data analysis to substantiate and promote the best product user experience.

Qualifications / Experiences

EXPERIENCE

3-5 years in a product management role

3+ years in technical product management / engineering management

3+ years in maritime, industrial, construction, or regulated industries

Hands-on experience working and delivering business results in a fast-paced and evolving environment of a tech startup

Successful launching/iterating on enterprise software

Undergraduate degree in a technical discipline (computer science, engineering, etc.) preferred (MSc, PhD, MBA, nice to have).

Strong analytical and critical-thinking mindset, curiosity, and hunger for knowledge

Strong technical ability to establish credibility with engineers.
