We are looking for a molecular biologist to join our fast-growing organization as a new addition to our NGS team. Using your expertise in cancer genomics and techniques like DNA/RNA extraction, library preparation, and sequencing, you will help push our therapeutic discovery and development forward. You will join a fast-paced start-up environment where strong communication skills and adaptability are key. Responsibilities:

  • Extract DNA/RNA from a range of different tissue specimens
  • Create NGS libraries from tissues, cell suspensions, single cells, and isolated DNA/RNA for WES, RNAseq, and TCR sequencing
  • Participate in the overall management of NGS operations and contribute to improving NGS workflows
  • Assist in troubleshooting problematic library preparations and  sequencing issues
  • Contribute to data analysis and interpretation of sequencing results
  • Work with other team members to examine the sequencing data and identify genomics signatures

Qualifications

  • Doctoral (PhD) degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, or an equivalent field
  • 3+ years of experience in NGS and with extensive hands-on experience in the full workflow from DNA/RNA extraction to sequencing-ready library.
  • Deep understanding of NGS library preparation and the principles of sequencing technologies
  • Strong background in molecular biology and analytical techniques, including PCR/qPCR, molecular cloning, enzymatic assays, and DNA/RNA isolation and manipulation
  • Familiarity and/or strong drive to learn secondary and tertiary NGS data analysis
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with colleagues and partners across a range of technical backgrounds and levels of expertise

Nice-to-haves (but not required):

  • Knowledge in immuno-oncology (T cell repertoire, B cell repertoire, tumor mutation and lines of therapy)
  • Experience in single cell DNA/RNA sequencing
  • Hands-on experience with NGS data analysis

  • Compensation: $120K + 10% salary bonus + equity
