Supply Chain Optimization Manager
Massillon, Ohio (Hybrid)
Position Summary:
The Supply Chain Optimization Manager is responsible for monitoring network constraints and seeking out opportunities to maximize capacity, improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, or ensure service to customers. Key responsibilities include completing scenario analyses based on changes to supply and demand, reviewing incremental demand opportunities, and presenting findings to cross functional teams to align and execute. This will include overseeing the Capacity Planning team and participating in the Executive S&OP process.
Your Seat at the Table:
- Analyzing organizational data and external data to seek out optimal internal network moves to reduce costs, gain efficiencies, or ensure service to customers.
- Work with operations, engineering, and other supply chain planning team members to determine true network production constraints and understand the costs of network changes.
- Support cross functional teams with scenario analyses to support organizational decision making.
- Gaining alignment with leadership on recommended network moves by creating and leading presentations.
- Leading projects to execute network moves to ensure the communication is shared with the right people in a timely manner to achieve project timelines.
- Approving/rejecting the Commercial team’s stage gate requests for incremental volume, providing feedback and optimal network locations.
- Work with the demand planning team to understand forecasted demand changes and align on incremental opportunity forecasts.
- Overseeing the network capacity planning team to ensure imbalances in supply and demand are corrected.
What you Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor’s degree in operations, supply chain, or related business discipline.
- At least 3 years’ experience working in Supply Chain Planning.
- Demonstrated proficiency in statistics and supply chain KPIs with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Proficient in Excel based data analysis required and experience in Power BI preferred.
- Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of supply chain.
