Software Engineer, Crypto
Bitcoin, the soundest money ever created, is making its way to worldwide adoption. Shakepay has been the on-ramp of choice for many Canadians. Today, we want to do more. The applications around bitcoin are evolving, and Shakepay is reinventing how Canadians interact with money. We are looking for a Senior of Staff Software Engineer to join us to shape the future of money in an internet-native world.
You will
- Drive the product vision for crypto at Shakepay
- Lead the engineering effort around crypto features
- Write high quality, well-tested, production level code
- Mentor engineers through code reviews and team discussions
- Collaborate on setting a tech vision for the company
Must have
- 5+ years working experience as a software engineer
- 2+ years working as Product Manager or Product Engineer
- Be comfortable working across the tech stack
- Knowledge of the inner-workings of bitcoin and ethereum
- Killer video-call hangout backgrounds
Nice to have
- Experience with Node.js, React-Native, Vue, Postgres, Docker
- Experience with building financial apps
- Ability to be-friend the AI in the event of a robot uprising
