The Senior Manager, Vehicle Package, Architecture and DMU Management is responsible to lead vehicle attributes that meet and exceed customer expectations from concept to launch. This is a key role to ensure the vehicle targets are set and cascaded to system requirements, vehicle attributes are balanced and validation plans are defined and executed to meet program timing plan. This role will lead vehicle ride and drive evaluations and requires expert evaluation skills.
Duties and responsibilities
Staff and Manage the Vehicle Development and Test Planning team.
Lead overall vehicle target setting for vehicle attributes and manage trade-offs.
Work closely with the functional and attribute teams to integrate vehicle systems to achieve a harmonious vehicle attributes
Lead vehicle expert and management ride and drives
Lead test and prototype planning
Lead vehicle integration meetings, lead engineering issue resolution and drive to closure.
Lead, develop and execution vehicle development deliverable plan.
Serve as single point of contact for vehicle architecture and packaging at SF Motors.
Up to 20% travel.
Required Education and Experience
B.S in Mechanical Engineering or related area.
6-10 plus years experience in vehicle engineering/development.
Outstanding knowledge of whole vehicle engineering and proven experience balancing engineering requirements and attributes.
A clear understanding of product development processes and deliverables.
Strong vehicle testing background.
Highly motivated to deliver objectives.
Lead management reviews and drive evaluations.
Outstanding written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
