This position is responsible for the mechanical, electrical, and digital integration of advanced prototype / R&D vehicles.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in vehicle component packaging for advanced prototype electric vehicles
Create component and assembly-level 3-D CAD models, and related 2-D manufacturing drawings
Decode, debug, log, and process CAN bus data
Coordinate with cross-functional teams on component specifications/requirements, timing,
Up to 20% domestic and international travel may be expected for this position
Required Education and Experience
BS or MS in ME, EE, Automotive or a related field
Proficiency in Catia or other major CAD tools such as SolidWorks, NX, Pro/E, etc.
Knowledge of electric powertrain system in HEV/EV
Experience with CAN bus systems and associated tools such as Vector, PCAN, etc.
Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
Strong work ethic, highly motivated, and positive energy and attitude
Vehicle component packaging / integration
Experience with high voltage and rotating machinery
Programming skills a plus
Machine shop skills a plus
