The Manager, Vehicle Architecture and Package Engineering is responsible to lead vehicle architecture development for the entire vehicle integrating mechanical package requirements, occupant ergonomics and HMI requirements and standards. Ensure clearance targets are defines to deliver a harmonious package that delivers outstanding vehicle performance for our customers.
Duties and responsibilities
Staff and Manage the Vehicle Package Engineering Department.
Lead overall vehicle target setting for vehicle architecture and manage trade-offs.
Work closely with the functional and attribute teams to integrate vehicle systems to achieve a harmonious vehicle architecture.
Lead vehicle architecture workplan. Ensure vehicle targets are met and drive closure of open issues.
Leads vehicle package design reviews.
Lead vehicle package benchmarking and data collection
Serve as single point of contact for vehicle architecture and packaging at SF Motors.
Up to 20% travel.
Required Education and Experience
B.S in Mechanical Engineering, Package Engineering or related area.
10 plus years experience in vehicle packaging, development.
Knowledge of Vehicle Architecture, Vehicle Attributes, Regulatory requirements.
Knowledge of CATIA V5.
Prior experience managing a team.
Outstanding project management,
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Strong team building skills and drive for results.
Ability to work independently.
