Job Summary

We are looking for a Sr. LiDAR Technical Sales Engineer who will partner closely with all the engineering teams, business development and sales teams to drive sales of our LiDAR products and solutions. 

How will you make an impact? 

  • Act as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders within target customer organizations, providing technical insights, demonstrating the value of LiDAR solutions, and driving successful product integration. 
  • Collaborate closely with customers, internal sales, and engineering teams to understand customer requirements, influence product development, and drive sales strategy. 
  • Serve as the primary technical interface between customers and internal R&D teams, ensuring alignment on product requirements and technical expectations. 
  • Lead technical demonstrations, training workshops, and hands-on proof-of-concept projects to showcase LiDAR technology benefits to customers. 
  • Provide field support for product integration, troubleshooting, and resolution of technical issues encountered during the deployment of LiDAR systems. 
  • Work with sales teams to develop technical sales proposals, answer RFIs/RFQs, and ensure accurate and compelling technical content in presentations. 
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including product manuals, application guides, and training materials for both internal teams and customers. 
  • Support the sales process by identifying opportunities for value-added solutions and driving technical discussions that close deals. 
  • Lead on-site customer visits and technical evaluations and ensure product performance meets customer expectations. 
  • Foster strong customer relationships to ensure long-term success and continuous growing business. 

 

What qualifications and skills will make you succeed in this role? 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or a related technical discipline. 
  • 5+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, field application engineering, or hardware engineering, ideally within the LiDAR, sensor, or automotive industry. 
  • Experience in the automotive or sensor industry, with exposure to full product lifecycle management. 
  • Deep knowledge of LiDAR systems, sensor technologies, and the competitive landscape. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to resolving technical challenges in the field. 
  • Ability to travel as needed (20%) to meet customers, conduct site visits, and support product deployments. 
  • Experience with lasers, photodetectors, or optical systems is a strong plus.

What is the Pay Range?

$100,000-$180,000

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, annual base salary for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Seyond. You may also be eligible for the sales incentive plan and equity. In addition, our highly competitive benefits package is designed to support your success.
