Founded in 2016, Seyond has core R&D teams in Silicon Valley, USA and Suzhou & Shanghai, China. Seyond's long range image-grade LiDAR is a market leader in the autonomous driving industry. Products are also widely used in the field of smart transportation (city and highway), rail transit and unmanned mining.

Seyond LiDAR is designed for autonomous driving and able to pass the automotive grade. Currently, it has been chosen as the standard configuration for NIO ET7 sedan. As a Key Account Manager, you will serve as a trusted advisor, establishing and managing the relationship between the company and its most important automotive OEM clients.

Upon joining our dynamic Business Development and Sales team, you will have the opportunity to use your skills to make an impact and drive change for our customers, products, and company. You will play a critical role in understanding the OEM customers’ needs and providing the products and solutions to realize their business value.

How will you make an impact?

  • Responsible for achieving top line sales growth, new location growth and contribution margin objectives for assigned accounts.
  • Develop executive level relationships with Purchasing, Engineering and Plant Operations departments in assigned accounts.
  • Develop/implement value-added programs that differentiate Seyond in the marketplace and help achieve customer's scorecard metrics.
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts with OEM customers, ensuring mutually beneficial terms for both parties.
  • Develop accurate sales forecasts for key accounts and regularly update management on account status.
  • Advocate for the needs of key accounts within the company, ensuring that their requirements are considered in product development and improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop strategies for expanding our presence in the OEM market.
  • Acts as the liaison between the customer and all internal support areas (Production, Purchasing, Applications, etc.) to ensure on time and quality metrics are being achieved. 
  • Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities to identify potential areas for growth.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute action plans for how key account will achieve targets, identify specific actions to improve profit and grow the business.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with customer and internally to ensure alignment, performance and accountability internally and with the customer.

 

What qualifications and skills will make you succeed in this role?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering or other related discipline, plus 5+ years of working experience in sales and key account management.
  • 5+ years in automotive OEM or tier-1 with full product lifecycle experience.
  • Proven track record of winning deals.
  • Strong focus on delivering results.
  • Ability to engage customers at executive and engineering levels.
  • Strategic vision and planning while being proactive.
  • Strong understanding of market and competition for LiDAR or sensor solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills across functions and regions.
  • Ability to motivate and excite people and influence customers and internal stakeholders.

Where is this role located?

Remote: This role is a home-based office position in or near Greater Detroit Metropolitan Area, MI. Candidate must be able to travel up to 50% regionally (NOTE: Most travel will be local from your home office to clients within the nearby region, and there will likely be a few out of state office visits and/or 3-4 conferences or training that require travel throughout the year)
