Senior Electrical Designer
Seurat is seeking a senior electrical designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have SolidWorks Electrical or AutoCAD Electrical experience managing electrical documentation.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage all electrical schematic documentation to ensure consistency and accuracy across all projects and designers.
- Develop electrical templates to help provide consistency for electrical projects.
- Develop manufacturing and assembly documentation templates.
- Accurately capture and maintain electrical and control schematics and panel layouts for complex systems using Solidworks Electrical & Solidworks.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Electrical, Robotics Engineering, or related.
- 5+ Years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with SolidWorks Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar CAD applications.
- Experience with control components, such as I/O modules, (safety) relays, power supplies, breakers, DIN rail components, etc.
- Knowledge of electrical/controls redundant, fail-safe design practices.
- Familiarity with CE certification requirements.
- Familiarity with NFPA79, UL508A, or similar electrical standards.
- Experience working in a fast paced, dynamic start-up environment managing competing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- M.S. degree in Electrical, Robotics Engineering, or related.
- Strong background in Mechatronics.
- Experience with servo motors and feedback control systems.
- Familiarity with Beckhoff (Safety) PLC & EtherCAT I/O, Yaskawa or similar servo systems.
- Familiarity with PC-based / rack-mount control systems.
- Familiarity with IEC 61131-3 languages, including safety.
