As an Energy Auditor, you will play a crucial role in assessing and analyzing energy consumption and efficiency within various buildings and facilities. Your responsibilities will include:
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough on-site energy audits of buildings and facilities, evaluating energy systems, equipment, and processes.
Collect and analyze data related to energy consumption, including utility bills, energy usage logs, and equipment specifications.
Use specialized tools and equipment to measure and evaluate energy performance, such as infrared cameras, data loggers, and energy meters.
Identify areas of energy waste, including inefficient lighting, HVAC systems, insulation, and appliances.
Develop and recommend energy-saving strategies and measures, including renewable energy options, behavioral changes, and equipment upgrades.
Prepare detailed reports, presenting energy audit findings, recommendations, and estimated cost savings to clients.
Collaborate with clients to develop energy management plans, setting goals and targets for energy reduction, and monitoring progress.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, energy efficiency technologies, and government regulations to ensure compliance and propose innovative solutions.
Provide technical support and guidance on energy-related matters, answering client inquiries, addressing concerns, and offering expert advice.
Conduct post-audit follow-ups to verify the implementation of recommended energy-saving measures and assess their effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) certification is highly desirable.
Proven experience in conducting energy audits and analyzing energy consumption in various buildings and facilities.
Strong knowledge of energy codes, standards, and regulations.
Familiarity with building systems and equipment, including HVAC, lighting, insulation, and energy management systems.
Proficient in energy modelling software, such as EnergyPlus, eQUEST, or RETScreen.
Knowledge of energy-efficient technologies, renewable energy options, and energy conservation measures.
Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data management software.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various client locations.
