Position Summary: 

This position will be responsible for design, planning, installing, configuring, maintaining and the ongoing support of the client network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Provides advice and recommendations to management to assist in technology directions, decisions and road-map.
  • Performs research and analysis our network infrastructure technology to identify, propose and implement cost effective and practical technology solutions.
  • Engage and be part of the design team for the designated technologies and projects.
  • Provides technical guidance, advice, and assistance to other members of the team when required.
  • Assist to set and maintains standards for the designated technologies.
  • Play a key role in the roll-out of hardware and software inventory.
  • Develop and maintains technical documentation, diagrams and procedures for the designated technology areas.
  • Analyze problem trends to identify underlying issues.
  • Conducts hardware and software audits and review of our network infrastructure to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
  • Support network, software and applications.
  • Provides 2nd and 3rd level of support in the designated areas.
  • Network support: Meraki, Cisco switches, and Palo Alto firewalls.
  • University Degree/ College Diploma or equivalent in Computer Science.
  • Minimum 6+ years hands on experience or equivalent.
  • Solid technical knowledge of routing, and switching protocols.
  • Experience in some or all of the following technologies: Palo Alto Firewalls, Meraki, CLI, Wireshark.   
  • Proven strong analytical and troubleshooting skills is a must.
  • A high-performance team player with an open mind and attitude to explore new technologies, improve efficiency, and embrace change.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Accountable, Adaptable, Resourceful, and Respectful.
  • CCNP or equivalent work experience.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related discipline or equivalent experience required;
  • Minimum 6+ years hands on experience configuring, installing and supporting Cisco routers and switches
  • Solid technical knowledge of networking principles including routing, switching protocol, MPLS, broadband
  • Experience in some or all of the following technologies: Palo Alto Firewalls, Meraki, CLI, Wireshark, Cisco Umbrella, VMware virtual networking, Horizon VDI networking
  • Proven strong analytical and troubleshooting skills is a must.
  • A high-performance team player with an open mind and attitude to explore new technologies, improve efficiency, and embrace change.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Accountable, Adaptable, Resourceful, and Respectful.
  • CCNP or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with Cisco Call Manager, Call Gateways, SRST is a plus
