VP, Community

Serotonin is seeking a VP of Community to manage and scale the Community team and play a pivotal role in the success of community services for our clients. The VP of Community will join a team of existing leadership across the Serotonin services business.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in web3 community management and people management, and a demonstrated experience with Discord, Telegram, Reddit, and Twitter - in addition to the ecosystem of emerging community platforms.

About the Role

The VP of Community will play a key role in the evolution of professional client services through the lens of community. This role will have three primary areas of responsibility: Management, Operations & Strategic Scale, and Client Services. 

Management

  • Manage the team of Global Community Managers.
  • Help direct reports with client services, including: unblocking creativity, identifying best practices, helping solve client problems, and serving as the first point of escalation.
  • Provide ongoing feedback and personal goal setting for direct reports. Support in career development.

Operations & Strategic Scale

  • Work closely with other leadership to assess and adjust Serotonin’s Community services in response to market demands.
  • Stay on top of emerging platforms, trends, and ecosystem developments to continuously iterate our services strategy.
  • Work closely with other disciplines at Serotonin to ensure community services remain best utilized in our offerings.

 

Client Services

  • Serve as a Community lead on select clients, typically in collaboration with a Community team member.
  • Provide community strategy and best practices to select clients.
  • Step into any urgent client needs as the first point of escalation and solution for community feedback.

What You Bring to the Table

  • 5+ years experience working in a community role with a minimum of 3 years experience in a management role at crypto/blockchain companies.
  • Experience with seeding, engaging and managing communities prior and after token launch with a proven track record. 
  • Excellent verbal communication and writing skills.
  • People management skills with the ability to resolve conflicts and pair team members with complementary skill sets to the right client type.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate and positively influence your team members from all walks of life to be successful - You are only as successful as your weakest team member
  • Desire to be in web3 with the resilience to thrive in a fast-paced, agency environment.
  • Strong understanding of the web3/crypto space and its audience.

Who are you

Serotonin is seeking a Community Director to lead, develop and execute effective community management and engagement strategies on behalf of clients. The person in this role will work closely with a full team of marketers which includes PR, Content and Branding pillars. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of crypto and blockchain with strong familiarity of Telegram, Discord, Reddit, Crypto Twitter and any other platforms relevant to the industry as it evolves.

About the Role

  • Lead and support your team of community managers and associates as they produce client deliverables. 
  • Train and upskill your team’s core competencies enhancing their skills to deliver high quality work. Provide feedback and insights at the earliest opportunity to nip potential early issues in the bud. 
  • Work closely with high-impact client accounts to dictate strategy, execute community deliverables, and own community processes that achieve client OKRs.
  • Tap on data analytics to monitor success of clients’ community, iterate and ideate on ways to increase community engagement/organic growth.
  • Collaborate with attached marketing teams to organise and manage campaigns to boost brand awareness and engagement on community platforms.
  • Partner closely with other discipline leads and push Serotonin to greater heights.
  • Stay up to date on the latest trends in the web3/crypto industry.
