About the role: 
We are looking for an experienced, Property & Casualty Client Service Leader who thrives on working with the world’s most innovative, people-driven companies. Reporting to our President, the VP, Risk Management Service role is your chance to build a world class team in our Risk Management to support over 1,700 Sequoia clients from the most innovative companies, both public and pre-IPO (including 40 clients who have gone public in the last two years). Our world-class Risk Management service organization today delivers a full line of P&C products, great client service, has strong client retention and high overall engagement. This is a unique opportunity to leverage a strong foundation, client relationships and team to accelerate growth and build a meaningful business.

What you get to do:

    • Build and continuously develop a world class Risk Management practice, supporting and promoting our services, and one that is recognized in industry as a role model for partnering with our clients 
    • Lead key service and operations team to support the total management experience (people, process, and technology) 
    • Develop and meet impactful client service metrics and long-term goals 
    • Partner with other service leaders (Benefits/401k/Sequoia One) to unify the client experience and position as a trusted business advisor and protector 
    • Educate other Sequoia Teams on impact and value of Risk Management services for their clients 
    • Recruit and build team members to help support the mission 
    • Work across Sequoia and lead cross-collaboration between necessary groups  
    • Collaborate and plan with other members of leadership team on company goals and execution strategies 

What you bring:

    • 10+ years leading a Risk Management Service practice at a leading professional services organization, preferably in the property and casualty industry, including 5+ years in a leadership capacity where you have built and/or scaled a team.  
    • Team Leadership: Builds and leads strong teams. Ability to evaluate teams, develop, and reshape them as necessary while mentoring and inspiring them to drive continually improving results through strong leadership.   
    • Executive customer engagement: Proven track record of successfully building and expanding customer relationships to new departments and c-suite.    
    • Global scale: Experience leading international expansion efforts.  
    • Cross functional and executive influence: Working cross functionally with Executive Leadership, Product, Marketing, Legal, Finance, Operations, and Compliance to ensure customer success. Demonstrated ability to develop strong consultative relationships with external partners and internal cross-functional teams at all levels. Experience with creating, developing, and communicating executive level materials. 
    • Accountability: Quantifying business needs and developing metrics. Proven track record of delivering performance against goals consistently and predictably. Ability to distill complex issues into structured frameworks and concrete action plans.
