A bit about the role

We are looking for a Director of Partnerships to join our growing team in North America. This role will be responsible for the management and growth of current partners, defining the  North America partnership strategy and negotiating new partnerships. 

Working closely with and supporting the Partnerships Manager you will be responsible for a  portfolio of high-profile partners in the e-commerce and logistics industry. You will provide partners with best in class partner management from onboarding to ongoing partner management to deliver on Sendle partner goals. Through the establishment of strong partner relationships you will gain a deep understanding of each partner including their goals and challenges to identify opportunities for Sendle to grow the partnership. 

  • You will manage and grow the existing partner business and relationships through identifying new opportunities and providing best in class partner management. 
  • You will be responsible for US partnership development targets and goals and will be responsible for identifying, engaging and negotiating commercial partnerships.
  • Establish new partnerships as a growth driver for Sendle - your role will be to lead all partnership development activities - from the exploratory phase to the launch and ongoing expansion activities. 
  • Our partners serve as a great source of customer and industry insights that helps Sendle achieve growth and a deeper understanding of the market to drive our strategy - you will represent Sendle, lead and execute the partnership strategy and track partner performance. 
  • You will manage internal stakeholders by providing updates and insights on partner plans and market information, to drive alignment and support across key stakeholders.
  • Once a new partner is onboarded, the nature of engagement shifts from ‘marketing to the partner’ to ‘marketing through the partner’ - you will understand the partners strategy and objectives and you will collaborate with the Marketing to grow the partner’s business with Sendle and ensure the partner’s long-term success with Sendle. 
  • Sendle is a rapidly growing business with lots of evolving parts that will often require you to get things done for the partner at various operational levels. No task is too big or small.

Let’s talk about you

  • You have strong commercial acumen, negotiation and communication skills to engage internal and external senior stakeholders
  • Well-honed stakeholder management and relationship building skills, with 10+ years experience in key account management and enterprise style business development preferably within the logistics or eCommerce industry.   
  • Self-disciplined in managing your time to balance partner development pipeline, existing partner management and identifying new opportunities 
  • The ability to build compelling presentations, analyze reports and make a strong business case for your ideas 
  • Operational excellence in planning, project management, prioritizing and multitasking
  • A deep understanding of eCommerce, technology and/or shipping will be highly advantageous 
  • Passion for solving complex problems for partners and the ability to communicate your solution both internally and to the partner 
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changeable environment, enjoy taking on new experiences and overcoming complex challenges in first-time conditions.
