About Sail:

Sail Biomedicines is harnessing evolutionary and artificial intelligence to revolutionize programmable medicines. Sail’s platform combines first-in-class programmable RNA technology (Endless RNATM or eRNA), and an industry-leading platform of programmable nanoparticles, utilizing natural components, to unlock comprehensive programming of medicines for the first time. By leveraging cutting-edge eRNA and nanoparticle deployment technology, Sail is building a wealth of data, enabling unparalleled use of AI techniques to identify and design fully programmable medicines that are potent, targeted, versatile, and tunable. Sail was founded by Flagship Pioneering.

The Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated Research Associate II to contribute to Sail’s mission of building novel programmable RNA technology. This is an exciting opportunity to be an essential part of a team working to leverage sequence optimization of existing RNA constructs as well as designing radically new constructs aimed to expand Platform knowledge about expressible RNA in vitro and in vivo. Your results will help to test and to further train cutting-edge AI/ML models. This position will offer the opportunity both to excel as an independent individual contributor in your field of expertise as well as to collaborate with multiple teams across the company.

  • Produce and purify RNA constructs, test their expression in cells, and analyze data
  • Contribute to the design and improvement of RNA constructs
  • Assist other teams to apply your techniques as needed
  • Collaborate with computational and ML teams to analyze data and plan future studies
  • Maintain a detailed, organized, and updated electronic laboratory notebook
