Job Summary: The Shipping and Receiving Lead reports to and assists the Operations Manager by performing, documenting, and tracking the selecting, shipping, and receiving of customer and supplier product and information. The role will work primarily at our Charlestown facility with visits to our Marlborough site as needed. This role does not supervise any employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize NetSuite ERP system.
- Stock supply shelves, perform cycle counts, issue materials, and deliver supplies to internal and external customers.
- Verify all goods and information received against purchase orders and/ or shipping documents and record data in ERP system.
- Packs, verifies, and labels outgoing shipments and parcels. Utilize Fedex, UPS or DHL on-line shipping programs for daily order processing.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with diverse teams, including Labs and Engineering staff. Must be customer service and collaboration oriented.
- Additional duties and overtime as required or assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience in a team-oriented pick/pack order fulfillment operation with shipping & receiving functionality preferred. Must be customer service oriented, collaborative, and comfortable in an entrepreneurial work environment.
- Must be organized and highly motivated.
- Life science or Bio-tech experience a plus.
- Experience with FIFO or FEFO.
- Previous experience with FedEx, UPS or DHL online shipping software preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems (Netsuite, Epicor, SAP, Syteline, lnfor etc)
- Computer proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel- must be able to generate documents when requested.
- Perform the physical labor necessary to safely complete tasks.
- Must be able to push, pull or otherwise operate manual pallet jack and/or hand truck.
- May need to lift and carry up to 50lbs unassisted, 70+1b with assistance.
This is an overtime eligible hourly position with a target annual range of $50K-$60K
