DESCRIPTION: Our DHS Sector has upcoming requirements for staff to provide IT program and business process improvement services for a large DHS component. The Financial Analyst plans and provides analytical support for facilitation, training, methodology development and evaluation, business management techniques, and organizational development. Supports DHS business process improvements and modernization projects. Key responsibilities include: Developing modern business methods, identifying best practices, and creating and assessing performance measurements.

LABOR CATEGORY / DUTIES:
• Provide support for budget development, submission and tracking for Program domains. • Provide support for validating, tracking and reconciling contract invoicing and conducting financial reporting based on obligations and expenditures. • Update, maintain and manage invoice and financial tracking data files within the electronic share point sites. • Access financial systems/share point to develop and provide monthly contract invoice payment status reports and track funding balances. • Assist in documenting, monitoring and updating obligated funding on contract awards and maintaining documentation electronically. • Respond to ad-hoc requests to research invoices, payments, and obligations. • Assist USCIS in conducting burn rate analysis and reporting by service type/project code/customer funding. • Assist in the collection of support agreements, development of documentation, collection of customer/reimbursable project funding in support of contract tasks.
• 2 years of related experience. • Business process analysis experience in a federal agency IT environment.
