LOCATION: Multiple Locations throughout US to include US Territories
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: This is a Part-Time position, with 100% travel.
Provide on-site compliance support of the Veterans Cemetery Grants Program (VCGP) for the National Cemetery Administration (NCA). Our team of reviewers will assess multiple State, territories, and federally recognized tribal cemeteries throughout the US. During these visits, our team will lead in the Compliance Review Program (CRP), which documents, tracks, monitors, and reports on a sites’ progress towards maintaining key cemetery operational areas such as: interments, grounds maintenance, headstone/marker operations, equipment maintenance, facility maintenance, and safety.
The CRP aims to apply established performance metrics to grant-funded cemeteries in order to more effectively track compliance with NCA operational standards in accordance with grant agreements which provide funding for establishment, expansion and improvement. The CRP directly contributes to improved accountability of sites by providing cemetery staff with a “Scorecard” to gauge performance and grant compliance. The comprehensive compliance scoring methodology allows grant-funded cemeteries to be reviewed more objectively, become more aware of their performance, and to identify opportunities for improvement.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.
LABOR CATEGORY DUTIES / ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Sr. Financial Consultant II’s will provide support completing the Gravesite Assessment Review, compiling notes based on observations and interviews, compiling the consolidated scorecard, and developing the Site Review Findings Report and Action Plan for Opportunities for Improvement.
