As the Regional Director, you will be an integral part of the Sales leadership team building the APAC sales organization. You will lead and grow a team of Account Executives out of our Sydney office. You will lead a go-to-market team focused on the acquisition and expansion of Segment across SMB, Mid-Market and Enterprise accounts. You will join a team of highly motivated, energetic professionals who take pride in establishing new customer relationships, running strategic sales cycles, and delivering the Segment message to a broad base of accounts across various industries. 

 

The right person will bring vision, purpose, and drive to this fast-growing market. This position offers the unique opportunity to dramatically impact Segment's long-term success and be the driving force behind our strategy for expansion in the region.

What you’ll do:

  • Help develop and execute the strategy for the growth of our Sydney sales team
  • Recruit, develop, and enable a team of managers and account executives
  • Oversee and ensure successful execution of high volume and high-velocity sales cycles
  • Engage at the executive level with a range of companies from venture-backed high growth technology companies to Fortune 2000 accounts looking to modernize their marketing and analytics tech stacks
  • Motivate individuals and team to exceed targets through coaching and mentorship
  • Accurately forecast the business
  • Meet and exceed monthly quarterly, and annual sales goals
  • Cultivate sales through outbound pipeline generation and inbound need qualification

You’re a great fit if you;

  • Have 8+ years of increasing sales responsibility and 6+ years of sales leadership experience, selling to high growth and Enterprise accounts
  • Maintain a proven record of consistently exceeding quotas
  • Are strategic enough to build a team but tactical enough to execute on a day-to-day basis
  • Are proficient in modern sales processes/methodologies
  • Can hire, train, and lead top-tier managers and Account Executives
  • Have excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Are passionate about the marketing technology & data landscape
  • Have an excellent presence and proven ability to influence at all levels
  • Possess strong analytical skill with a deep understanding of forecasting & managing through data
