We are looking for a self-driven, experienced, and hands-on program manager to run our internal events and employee experiences. You will be in charge of helping us develop incredible events and experiences that bring our values to life and Segmenters together. Some of those experiences include our summer picnic , end of year party, hack week, volunteer events and others. 
What you’ll do:
Internal Events Programs - 50% 
  • Oversee all aspects of event management and production from content and program development, budget, design, AV production, vendor management, logistics, travel, invitations and more
  • Coordinate all company internal (employee experience) events including - regular happy hours, team offsites, hack weeks, holiday parties.
  • Translate culture and brand through events and experiences
  • Delegate budget and project manage all employee events in global offices. 
  • Create a vision to shape programs and processes to design an amazing professional “moments that matter” across the employee journey.
Social Impact Programs - 20%
  • Be a champion for social good inside Segment’s culture; educate Segment’s global teams on important community issues and connect them to opportunities to give back
  • Build programs and regular cadence for volunteering opportunities that engage global employees in meaningful community impact while also supporting business objectives; directly manage volunteer events overseeing all details, coordinating with nonprofit partners and owning outcomes
  • Build programs to engage employees in company-supported charitable giving; build and manage the annual charitable giving budget
  • Drive best practices and outcomes for diversity & inclusion & belonging across the candidate & employee experience. Support initiatives that create a place where all can belong.
  • Thought-partner with the People and Operations Director on strategic plan development and revision of the site’s diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging needs
Employee Experience Programs - 30%
  • Own the company’s workplaces and cultural initiatives and help foster a culture that reflects our company vision, mission, and core values
  • Identify trends and recommend proactive solutions for employee feedback, performance, retention, and engagement.
  • Build trust with employees across all layers of the organization as an active listener and effective problem solver of people issues
  • Participate in employee engagement site councils including values committee and others
You’re a great fit if you:
  • You have 3-5 years of experience with global internal events and experiences
  • A keen eye for detail and a sense of office pride
  • An awesome can-do attitude - no task is too big or too small
  • The ability to juggle multiple agendas and unexpected obstacles, and prioritize what needs your attention first, all while communicating with the team and your stakeholders
  • A culture champion who lives our values and knows how to bring them to life
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Research and actively seek out new vendors to keep events fresh and innovative
  • Manage a detailed line-item budget and manage appropriately to stay within approved total cost
  • Continually evaluate effectiveness of events as they relate to overall return and goal
