The Role

As an IT Asset Manager, you will be taking a detailed inventory of the Bank’s IT hardware and software assets. Ensures that assets are tracked and managed following the identified lifecycle of the asset – from procurement, to usage, to refresh until disposal by developing and implementing guidelines and procedures to oversee quality and control through their lifecycles. Personnel will also govern the ITAM tools applied in managing, monitoring, and reporting IT assets. Work with other IT units in creating and implementing the IT Asset Management process.

How you'll contribute

  • Accountable for the end-to-end practice, managing the ITAM approach. Ensures the success of the practice.
  • Supervises the maintenance of current records of the Bank’s IT assets, including but not limited to deployment location, configuration, owner, location, usage and other pertinent asset information based on submitted and approved forms. Evaluates the accuracy of asset information in the CMDB. Ensures the IT asset register contains valid data and assets are compliant.
  • Administers inventory and declaration of Software licenses such as but not limited to Microsoft.
  • Administers ITG’s Spare Parts and Service Units. Ensures adequate inventory by continuous inventory tracking and advance ordering. Establish and maintain hardware and software maintenance database.
  • Ensures IT asset management aligns and is consistent with SBCs overall accounting asset management policies, procedures, guidelines.
  • Oversees the conduct of the refresh cycle of End-user computing equipment the likes of laptops, desktops, monitors, printers as per policy, including budgeting for the refresh cycle and preparation of IT Requests. Ensures the IT asset lifecycle models are followed.
  • Performs annual review on historical data of end-user computing equipment to provide recommendations on additional equipment for refresh cycle.

  • Establish and maintain documentation of procedures, processes, and reports concerning asset and configuration management.
  • Supervises the updates/regularization of asset records and reports based on results of the regular review conducted by the IT Asset Analyst.
  • Performs other related functions that may be assigned from time to time.

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor's / College Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or similar field
  • 5-10 years of experience 
  • Strong knowledge of IT software and hardware as well as five or more years of experience working as an IT asset
    analyst
  • Five years or more experience managing staff
  • Strong knowledge and five years plus experience working with a CMDB and the specific business services that it
    supports
  • Five years or more ITSM tool experience
  • Proven ability and experience in executing strategic asset management processes successfully
  • Profound knowledge of licensing agreements involving software
  •  Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
  • Strong knowledge of IT Service Management processes, as well as experience with Discovery tool
  • Strong ability to carry out assigned tasks independently with little supervision
  • Excellent at performing multiple tasks at the same time without erring
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Preferably ITIL V4 and Managing Professional Certified
