The Role

As a Relationship Officer - SBM Leasing, you will be responsible for all sales and marketing activities from lead generation/handover from distributor to close within the target market. You will develop and implement with the Sales Team Head/Sales Head a marketing plan and shall work with the Sales Team to deliver customer satisfaction and revenues that will achieve the business plan. You shall ensure that the desired profitability is achieved vis-à-vis the risk profile of the account.

How you'll contribute

  • Developing annual business, sales, or marketing plan in conjunction with Sales Team Head/Sales Head, which details activities to follow during the fiscal year, focusing on meeting or exceeding sales quota and by raising the brand awareness of the Company
  • Recommends/proposes sales-related activities that will generate more bookings and raise brand awareness of the company
  • Maximizing all opportunities in the process of closing a sale resulting in the taking of market share from other competitors
  • Selling consultatively and making recommendations to prospects and clients of the various solutions the company offers to their business issues, including financing from SBC
  • Developing a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, face-to-face cold calling on business owners, direct mail, email, and networking
  • Creating and conducting effective proposal presentations
  • Preparing a Credit Proposal that reflects the requirement of the Company and justification for the credit structure. Presents clear and accurate detailed information with regards to the account’s operations, management, and financials. Defines the risks involved as well as mitigating factors to resolve these.
  • Working with the Financial Analyst Team for the completion of the Credit Proposal
  • Maximizing the earning potentials and business growth from existing accounts thru effective relationship management with account planning, account profitability, and risk management tools
  • Keeping himself/herself updated with the Credit Policy and its revisions/enhancements to ensure compliance with the Company’s/parent bank’s credit policies as well as other governing policies that are processed and recommended
  • Benchmarking/networking with other Sales Officer/Relationship Managers including those in the parent bank and its subsidiaries to gather vital information with regards to the account as well as an industry practice in general
  • Together with Sales Team Head, Financial Analyst, and Financial Analyst Head, presenting and justifying account for approval of the proper approving authority/body

What we’re looking for

  • With at least 3 years of experience in Sales handling SME, Commercial, and/or Corporate Accounts
  • Good knowledge of credit, credit structuring, credit policies, transactional procedures, and product features. Knowledge of regulatory aspects of lending and banking, and legal documentation.
  • Good interpersonal, marketing, and analytical skills. Needs analysis and solutions matching skills.
  • Outgoing and has a passion for customer service and collaboration with shareholders, product, and operational partners. Has the capacity to intelligently interact with senior leaders, whether internal or external. Aggressive in looking for opportunities to expand client relationships.
