The Role

As Head of Collections, you will be responsible for managing the Collections Portfolio across all consumer products of the company. The Head must provide direction, devise new strategies, and implement action plans to ensure the most effective collections operations and that the Collections Department. The purpose of this role is to lead the department to ensure flowrates are within acceptable levels, write-offs are minimized, and recoveries are maximized.

How you'll contribute

  • Develop strategies, adjustments to collections process, and action plans that are in line with the business goals of the Division and ensure their successful execution.
  • Analyze provided reports, enrich reports (if required) and introduce changes under a test/control framework to help drive objective, evidence-based decisions to ensure achievement of target delinquency rates, flow rates, write-off rates, cure rates, and recovery rates.
  • Ensure all credit risks associated with collections are understood and quantified with effective reporting, across all components of collections, and the department adheres to regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate regularly with overseen Unit heads regarding trends, overall collections portfolio performance, and potential strategies, and report to the Retail Banking Segment Head with respect to these topics.
  • Anticipate changing business conditions and develop new collection methods that will prevent delinquency and maximize recoveries.
  • Develop a strong partnership with the Sales Division to ensure a comprehensive approach to customer communications.
  • Ensure robust governance, processes and controls are in place across the entire department.
  • Monitor and reach the yearly and monthly KPIs (Flow rate, Collections effectiveness, Cash collected/Cost // Cost per collected 1k peso, Average of quality score of the team, NPS score).

What we’re looking for

  • Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or any related field
  • Should have at least 5 years relevant experience in the banking, credit card companies, leasing/financing Institutions
  • Strong background in advanced collection method
  • Very good communication and presentation skills
  • Good people management and leadership skills
