About the Role:

You will help define and evolve the DNA of our brand from scratch. As we embark on our brand creation project, you will work closely with our executive team, expert advisors, and external agencies as we transition from an under-the-radar stealth startup to a household name.

As we grow the team and launch our product, you will ensure our brand is effectively articulated at every employee and customer touchpoint.

We’re looking for someone eager to apply a multifaceted approach to design through infusing our brand into all aspects of the company as we build it. You will create resonant visual assets, establish our brand presence in the physical world, and design our complete digital experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Own our internal design principles and brand identity guidelines
  • Ensure a consistent brand voice at every step of the customer experience
  • Create ongoing visual assets across a variety of media and for internal products, from presentations to company swag and beyond
  • Lead relationships with external agencies and provide timely, actionable feedback to ensure projects run smoothly 
  • Work closely with industrial designers and other specialists on customer-facing projects
  • Drive all marketing design on a local and national level
  • Design, roll out, and cultivate our customer-oriented website and mobile apps 
  • Translate our customer research and feedback into optimized design for customer experience
  • Test approaches to iterate and improve effectiveness of our brand experience over time

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 3+ years in a design role--at an agency, in-house, or freelancing 
  • A portfolio showcasing your design skills in multiple environments and use cases (please include a link or PDF in your application)
  • Proven ability to manage complex interdisciplinary design projects from conception to execution
  • Experience working client-side with creative agencies and within a budget
  • Affinity for consumer products and technology-forward products and services
  • Excellent communication and storytelling abilities
  • Expertise in collaborative design tools

Where You’ll Work: 

*We are open to remote candidates who are willing to travel ~20% to the Boston area*

Due to the nature of the job, we expect the majority of your working time to be spent in our office and R&D headquarters located in Allston, MA, close to MBTA Bus Routes, Boston Landing Commuter Rail Station, and the B Branch of the Green Line, and with free on-site parking.
