About Us:

We’re a robotics company operating in stealth mode and pursuing a moonshot objective with positive environmental and social impact. Our team includes founders with past success and engineers who have shipped millions of products, and we’re backed by amazing top-tier investors.

About the Role:

Come build our supply chain and our supply chain organization as our first supply chain hire!

We make large robots and other associated machinery here in Massachusetts, sourcing parts and components both locally and around the world. As we gear up to make many more robots, we’re looking for a hands-on leader to establish our supply chain function --- owning and improving our efficiency and economics as we scale our organization and operation.

You’ll enable prototyping, hardware revision cycles, and ramp engineering programs into production and deployment. You’ll take the lead on it all --- from sourcing, to negotiating and securing steady supply relationships, to ensuring that every input arrives where it needs to go and is qualified for integration into our systems.

You’ll excel here if you’re well organized and creative, and you want to take charge to build both a company and robots together with a talented group of colleagues from a broad range of backgrounds.

Responsibilities:

  • Support all stages of prototyping and product development. If we’re building with it, you’ve bought it!
  • Work with senior management and principal engineers to devise a supply chain strategy optimized for a blend of operational continuity, economic efficiency, and risk specific to each initiative.
  • Work with present and prospective suppliers to set, hit, and consistently improve schedule, quality, and cost goals.
  • Proactively analyze present supply chain performance and processes and lead on developing and implementing improvements.
  • Monitor our materials pipeline for potential issues and disruptions and develop contingency plans or other corrective courses of action.
  • Manage inventory on site and ensure that we’re always well equipped to build.
  • ...and, tell us what we’ve missed! You’ll be creating the supply chain function at the Secret Robot Company, after all.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in both engineering and operations
  • Experience managing end-to-end supply chain activities, including sourcing, planning, and supplier management
  • Experience sourcing both custom and off-the-shelf parts, components, and assemblies at both engineering prototype and production quantities
  • Clear communication and strong, constructive, and creative negotiation skills

Benefits of Working with Us:

  • Comprehensive health-care benefits
  • Health Savings Account with company contribution
  • 401(k)
  • Stock options
  • Generous parental leave policy
  • Short/Long term disability and life insurance
  • Subsidized MBTA pass

Where You’ll Work:

Due to the nature of working with large robots, we expect the majority of your working time to be spent in our facility located in Allston, MA, close to MBTA Bus Routes, Boston Landing Commuter Rail Station, and the B Branch of the Green Line. We also offer free on-site parking.

Equal Opportunity Employer:
