Things you’ll be working on

At Secret Escapes, we rely on our IT systems to power the solutions that help our members and
colleagues around the world. We’re seeking an experienced IT manager who can join us on this
journey, using the technological skills to make us more efficient.

In this role, you will analyse our current systems and assets, recommend and implement solutions
and upgrades, and provide end-user training. Our ideal candidate has extensive hands-on
experience in network maintenance, managing staff, and advanced industry knowledge to keep
us on the cutting edge.

From day one, you’ll have an immediate impact on the day-to-day efficiency of our IT operations,
and an ongoing impact on our overall growth. To be considered for the role, you will have
extensive work experience as an IT, EUC Manager or 3rd Line engineer looking to take the next step
in their career.

Your Responsibilities

The key focus of this role will be to lead and deliver large end-user computing projects and
programs across the UK & Europe and help drive the build-out the EUC capability in the regions.

• Design, develop, implement, support and manage all IT/EUC environments
• Manage the transition from outsourced service provider to an in house solution
• Develop the IT department by recruiting and training employees, communicating job
   expectations, and monitoring performance
• Maintain essential IT/EUC operations, including operating systems, security tools,
  applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware
• Tracks inventory and status for hardware and software throughout an organisation
• Technical lead for the delivery of Information Security projects
• Continuously analyse the current process, technologies, and vendors to identify areas of
  improvement
• Evaluate technology risks to develop a disaster recovery and information system business
  continuity plan.
• Develop and implement IT policy, procedures and best practice guides for the organisation
• Assure all IT activities are performed within the parameters of information security best
  practice frameworks and regulations
• Insist on high standards of technical design and implementation and ensure your systems
  are operationally excellent
• Prepare cost-benefit analysis reports when upgrades are necessary, continuously
  analysing vendors to ensure they offer the best possible service and value for company
  needs
• Adhere to information security and collaborate with the information security manager to
  implement best practice maintains a network and user security through hardware or
software installation or education
• Establish and manage good working relationships with technology vendors

The ideal candidate has…

• Hands-on experience with ERP systems, G Suite, Microsoft 365, Microsoft, Apple and
• Ubuntu operating systems, computer networks, network administration, network
• installation
• Hands-on experience with classic IT/EUC processes such as device deployment, patch
  management, software distribution, and end-user support and the future of these
  functions
• Experience with the way EUC technologies integrate with related systems, such as ITSM
  tools, asset management, CMDB, end-user analytics tools, among others
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory design, administration and maintenance
  (Group Policy, Login Scripts, FSMO)
• General experience with many of the other areas of concern for Infrastructure and
• Operations leaders such as automation, monitoring, and service management
• Intense level of practical experience in building and implementing detailed technical
  architecture and delivery programs across the various IT/EUC technologies
